“Elizabeth was absolutely brilliant. Excellent knowledge, teaching skills and very approachable too”.

“Elizabeth is a wonderful tutor - very knowledgeable of the software and willing to take answers in breaks and at lunch. She coped well with mixed ability group - happy to repeat when we got stuck but kept things flowing. Would love a follow up course to learn more about advanced NVivo capabilities. The course will have a hugely positive impact for my research, and I am already using some of the new skills learned (just one day on from course). Thank you.”

Interactive, engaging, great trainer. Now I know what NVivo can do for our team project. Found the importing variety of data, including twitter! We have a twitter page but never analyse them, now we can do so. Coding, creating thematic structure using the mind-map, word-cloud, the whole experience was eye opening. We are very happy to recommend Elizabeth. Thanks.

Well paced, more relevant than had anticipated. It dispelled my previous assumptions about qualitative software. Word cloud - a great material for poster presentation. Literature review with our own data was great. Very practical, hands-on training. I will definitely recommend that you get trained by Elizabeth.

Participants on Manchester course. August 2010.

Course was well planned, easy to follow and tailored to our individual project needs. Elizabeth was a fun and energetic trainer and I particularly enjoyed the practical aspect of the course, as it gave us hands on experience in using the software and applying it to our work. Would like to attend a more advanced course in the future. Many thanks.

Exemplary training received. I now feel confident in using the software for my own research, as a result of Elizabeth's highly interactive, straight forward approach. The small group size ensured we received copious amounts of support and guidance, when practicing applying data to the software. Highly recommendable.

A good 2 days training, very useful. Day 1 to learn and practice how to use the software through sample project and newly created project. Day 2 - discussing the structure of our own project and setting it up. Very beneficial, good humour in teaching. Content and pace well pitched. Thank you.

I contacted Elizabeth almost a year and a half after being on the introduction course to NVIVO 8. I had encountered a problem with auto coding which I couldn't solve myself and really needed some help. Elizabeth couldn't have been more helpful, she asked me to forward the document which contained the problem and called me to attempt to solve the issue over the phone. She also referred me to the helpdesk and offered to stay in touch until the problem was resolved. I would have no hesitation in contacting Elizabeth or the helpdesk again if I encounter another problem as I know I'll get the help I need.

Elizabeth, thanks for delivering an excellent two days of training last week. ALL of the participants have written to me to say how much they got out of it, how excellent your teaching style is and how relaxed we all were. I could not agree more.

The training is specific, relevant and concise. A thorough grounding in the software's main features. Very worthwhile, wish I had got it sooner! Friendly yet efficient. I didn't realise NVivo could help me manage my data this way. Elizabeth presented the material in a very logical and user friendly way, excellent! Excellent, very friendly and not too technical. The BEST training I have received thus far into my PhD! Trainer was excellent, enthusiastic and caring, a very practical course; very helpful and inspiring. It has made the whole research process less daunting!

Hands-on, comprehensive, yet not too overwhelming an introduction to NVivo. Yes, I would happily recommend this training to my valued colleagues and organisation.

Hugely helpful and provided me with confidence to use the package independently. One aspect of the training I found useful is Elizabeth's availability and openness to explain her own research project for us to relate to.

Sue Bond-Taylor, Senior Lecturer in Criminology, University of Lincoln.

With no background knowledge of NVivo and at the early stages of my PhD, I came to the training with some trepidation about the future direction of my research and concerns about how to manage large quantities of qualitative data. I left feeling excited about the project, motivated, and organised. I have a clear plan for the future of my research and I am confident that I can move through data collection, analysis and reporting with the support of the software. The training was in short excellent and made the whole thing feel so very easy. I am impressed with the software and its capabilities, but Elizabeth also provided advice about how such capabilities could be used effectively within the real life context of academic research. Absolutely invaluable. Thank you!
